Tasting Note

Savinelli is an Italian pipe company with a long interest in the cigar business. The company has several varieties, the oldest and most famous being the Savinelli Extremely Limited Reserve, made by Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. The Savinelli Special Selection 2005 Torpedo, which is made for Savinelli by the Oliva Cigar Co. in Nicaragua, is superb. Oliva has incredible stocks of well-aged tobacco, and it shows in this torpedo. It's rich in appearance, with a leathery and woody start that morphs into caramel and coffee flavors. The finish is long and spicy, with a cherry note.
