Tasting Note

OneOff has a complicated past. It was started in 2001 by an Italian retailer and gained a loyal cult following, especially in the United States. One of those fans was Dion Giolito of Illusione Cigars. Fast forward to 2017—the brand ends up in Giolito’s possession and by 2018, a new line of OneOffs were on the market. Black & Tan is the OneOff brand’s newest spinoff, and comes in only one size. Not much is disclosed about the specifics of the tobacco other than it contains a varietal not typically grown in Nicaragua. What we know for sure is that it’s a brilliant smoke, layered with tasty notes of shortbread, caramel, marzipan, pecan and anise.
