Pete Johnson enjoys taking the road less traveled, but at the same time, respects the traditions of the cigar industry. His brand, Tatuaje, has a ionate fanbase, and his cigars consistently perform well in this magazine. But the Tatuaje Reserva A Uno may be Johnson’s most fitting cigar to make our Top 25. Though most Tatuaje cigars are rolled in Nicaragua at My Father Cigars, some Reservas are made in Miami. The Reserva A Uno is one of them. It’s also made in the rare “A” size, measuring more than 9 inches long, an old format that’s almost disappeared. The full-bodied cigar marries notes of dark chocolate, espresso and red-pepper spice with hints of leather and earth.
