Davidoff Cigar Bar Headed for Las Vegas Strip
A new "Davidoff of Geneva - Since 1911" location is coming to Las Vegas—and it's upping the ante over neighboring cigar retailers by offering a full-service cigar bar and a 50-seat outdoor patio that overlooks the Vegas Strip. Located at the Fashion Show Mall, the 1,500-square-foot franchise store will be fully owned and operated by father and son Frank and Matt Arcella, who own six other Davidoff franchise locations around Las Vegas.
"The new location is something very different," Matt Arcella explained in a conversation with Cigar Aficionado. "It's a true cigar bar that separates us from other cigar retailers."
Arcella says the bar will boast a unique liquor collection and that the walk-in humidor will have a wide assortment of cigars as well as a selection of rare and limited-edition cigars that will include the likes of Davidoff Las Vegas Edition, Fuente Fuente OpusX Angel's Share, Padrón 1964 Anniversary Series, Davidoff Year of the Sheep, and Davidoff Oro Blanco, among others.
"A pairing menu is being developed," Arcella said, "to match the cigars with high-end Scotches and Bourbons."
The sprawling outdoor seating area faces the bustling Las Vegas Strip, and the Wynn, Encore, Venetian, Palazzo and Treasure Island properties surround the luxury cigar bar. Arcella is targeting to have the new Davidoff cigar bar open by November 1, and is eagerly anticipating a large influx of patrons during a certain cigar-themed event the weekend of November 13.
"The goal is to have the doors open in time for Big Smoke 2015." Cigar Aficionado's Big Smoke 2015 runs November 13 to 15 at the Mirage Hotel and Casino.
Arcella's other Davidoff franchise locations can be found at the Grand Canal Shoppes, the Venetian, the Palazzo, the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino and the Paris Resort.
