Pledge Cigars To Help Els For Autism Foundation

The next time you buy Cigar Aficionado’s 2020 Cigar of the Year, you might be helping fund a very good cause. E.P. Carrillo Cigar Co. has launched the Pledge98 Campaign, where it will contribute $0.98 for every E.P. Carrillo Pledge Prequel sold between December 15 and January 31 to the Els for Autism Foundation.
The 98-cent-donation is reflective of the cigar’s 98-point rating when the Dominican cigar was named Cigar of the Year for 2020.
“E.P. Carrillo believes in the power of our Pledge to the consumers and our community, and we’re tying the highest ever rated Cigar of the Year to giving back,” said Lissette Perez-Carrillo, co-owner of E.P. Carrillo Cigar Co. “We are confident that with the of our consumers and retailers, we can make a real difference for Els for Autism.”
The Els for Autism Foundation was created in 2009 by professional golfer Ernie Els, his wife Liezl and Marvin R. Shanken, the editor and publisher of Cigar Aficionado magazine. The Foundation serves families around the world, and also has created a state-of-the-art facility in Jupiter, Florida, called The Els Center of Excellence to help people with autism.
