Aged Fuentes Arriving This Week

One of the few yearly allocations of Dominican cigars from the Arturo Fuente Aged Selection will be shipping to retailers this week. This particular release includes cigars from Fuente’s Don Carlos Edición de Aniversario and Fuente Fuente OpusX Lost City lines.
If you’ve ever wondered what a Don Carlos would taste like if you removed its Cameroon wrapper and replaced it with a Dominican Double Robusto at 5 3/4 by 52. Both have a suggested retail price of $39.50 each. The Double Robusto is also available in a tubo for $41.75. A vintage band on every Don Carlos Edición de Aniversario indicates the year it was rolled.
The Fuente Fuente OpusX Lost City has a cinematic story behind it. When the film Lost City, starring Chateau de La Fuente (where tobacco for OpusX cigars is grown), harvest season had already concluded. Company owner Carlos Fuente Jr. planted some tobacco in July for the sake of the movie. Rather than discarding it all after shooting was finished, he decided to harvest and age the crop instead. The tobacco from that harvest is what’s incorporated into the OpusX Lost City line.
Two sizes from the OpusX Lost City line are coming to tobacconists: Piramide, at 6 3/8 by 52 ($43.50) and Double Robusto at 5 3/4 by 52 ($42.50). The Double Robusto is also offered in a glossy tubo at $43.99 each.
Like all Fuente cigars, the Don Carlos Edición de Aniversario and OpusX Lost City are made in the Dominican Republic at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of both brands benefits the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation and the Lost City Scholarship Fund.
Fuente Aged Selection cigars are distributed through Prometheus International Inc. in Los Angeles.
