An All-Nicaraguan Knuckle Sandwich

Knuckle Sandwich—the three-way collaboration between Espinosa Cigars, A.J. Fernandez and television personality puro is called Knuckle Sandwich Puro Nicaragua, and like the other brands in the series, is made in Nicaragua at A.J. Fernandez’s San Lotano factory in Ocotál.
Espinosa Cigar says that the new Knuckle Sandwich is going to be a full-bodied cigar, and will come in three sizes: Robusto, measuring 5 inches by 52 ring gauge ($13.50), Toro, at 6 by 54 ($14.50) and a 6-by-60 Gordo ($14.99). All come in 20-count boxes.
The Puro Nicaragua brings the Knuckle Sandwich series to four lines, following Knuckle Sandwich Habano, Maduro and Connecticut.
Although A.J. Fernandez recently had a fire at his Estelí factory, Hector Alfonso of Espinosa Cigars tells Cigar Aficionado that production of Knuckle Sandwich shouldn’t be too affected, as these cigars are produced at Fernandez’s San Lotano facility, a separate factory that is 50 miles north of the one that burned. San Lotano is fully operational.
Knuckle Sandwich Puro Nicaragua will be exhibited next week at the Espinosa Cigars booth during the PCA trade show in New Orleans and will ship to retailers shortly after.
