Crowned Heads Launching Broadway Line

Crowned Heads is introducing a new line of cigars that’s intended to pay tribute to both its hometown of Nashville and the dark Connecticut broadleaf wrapper adorning the cigars. Called Crowned Heads Broadway, the line will be unveiled at the PCA trade show and is expected to begin shipping to retailers in late May.
"Some of our most popular releases over the years have utilized Connecticut broadleaf wrappers," says Crowned Heads co- founder Jon Huber, who said the name not only harkens to the lower Broadway section of Nashville, but is also a nod to the broadleaf tobacco used in the cigar.
The interior blend for Crowned Heads Broadway consists of a Nicaraguan binder from the Jalapa region and a mix of Nicaraguan fillers from Jalapa, Ometepe and Estelí. Huber says the cigars are medium-to-full-bodied in of strength but retain a dessert-like sweetness.
Broadway is available in three sizes: Robusto Extra, measuring 4 3/4 by 52; Epicure, 5 1/2 by 56; and Toro, 6 1/2 by 54. Shipping in cabinets of 21, suggested retail prices range between $11.95 to $12.95.
The new release marks the start of a revamp of the company’s packaging with a new “hero logo,” emphasizing the Crowned Heads name, with a secondary band which displays the individual brand name.
"We've discovered that while many people recognized 'Crowned Heads,' and were also familiar with some of the brands in our portfolio, many were not connecting the dots that we were responsible for such brands as La Imperiosa, etc.," says Huber. "We strongly believe that this new branding approach will better unify our portfolio, and also help to quickly identify and recognize the Crowned Heads family of brands."
Crowned Heads Broadway is rolled at the Nicaraguan American Cigars, S.A. (NACSA) factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.
