Cuban Cigars In Spanish Jars

Spanish cigar distributor Tabacalera S.L.U. is continuing its series of Cuban cigars in decorative cigar jars with a new release that holds 19 Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2s. Made exclusively for Spain, this is the eighth jar in the Serie Sevilla, a line of limited-edition pottery from the kilns of La Cartuja de Sevilla.
These period pieces of glazed earthenware are replicas of the Partagás and Ramon Allones jars that were manufactured in the mid 20th century. Only 2,000 jars are being produced.
Each Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2 has a suggested retail price of 25 euros (about $28) or 475 euros for the entire jar, which works out to around $530. An additional band around the foot of every cigar indicates that these Hoyos are part of Spain’s Serie Sevilla.
This summer’s release follows Ramon Allones jar before that in 2021.
The Sevilla Series differs from the Vintage Collection, Spain’s other line of decorative ceramic cigars.
