La Aurora To Preview Preferidos Hors d’Age 2024 At PCA

La Aurora, the Dominican Republic’s oldest cigarmaker, is continuing its limited-edition Hors d’Age series with a new release coming next month. The Preferidos Hors d’Age 2024 will be on display at the PCA trade show in New Orleans and is expected to begin shipping to retailers by late April.
Hors d’Age 2024 is available in a single size: a toro measuring 5 3/4 inches by 54 ring gauge. The year in the name does not indicate the age of the tobaccos, but refers rather to when the cigars were rolled.
The four-country blend is intended to be medium-to-full in body and consists of an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper and binder, with filler from Colombia, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. According to the company, every leaf used in Hors d’Age 2024 has been aged for at least 12 years.
Production for the U.S. market is limited to just 700 boxes. The cigars have a suggested retail price of $30 each, or $450 per box of 15.
La Aurora Preferidos Hors d’Age 2024 is rolled in the Dominican Republic at La Aurora S.A. The series started in 2018 and has always highlighted aged tobacco.
