Aged Fuente OpusX Rare Black Collection Coming This Month

You’ve seen Fuente’s black-label Rare Pink line, but have you ever heard of the OpusX Rare Black? They’re only released every once in a while—and completely without warning—but Rare Blacks are arriving this month in two sizes, along with a series of branded cutters and lighters.
The Fuente Fuente OpusX Rare Black Collection is part of the Serie “Heaven and Earth” line, which is sold under the Fuente Aged Selection umbrella and distributed by Prometheus International. What sets these cigars apart from regular-production Cigars from the Aged Selection are not only older, but have a vintage band indicating the time of production. The cigars are only released twice a year.
This month, you’ll be seeing a Fuente Fuente OpusX Rare Black Double Corona and Torpedo. The Double Corona measures 7 5/8 inches by 49 ring gauge and has a suggested retail price of $67.50 per cigar, while the Torpedo measures 6 7/8 by 44 (the same size as the OpusX PerfecXion 888) with a suggested retail price of $62.50 each. Both come in black, 10-count Prometheus travel humidors.
The cigars are made with Dominican tobacco grown at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia.
Should you want to cut and light these aged smokes with matching accessories, an Aged Black Rare Black cutter will also be available ($115) as well as a variety of lighters: Prometheus Magma T (triple torch, $189); Magma X (triple torch, $149); Ultimo X (triple torch, $149); and Retro (single torch, $99).
A portion of the proceeds for products sold through the Fuente Aged Selection s the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation, which benefits under-privileged children in the Dominican Republic.
