Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua Gets Fat New Size

The Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua brand—which made headlines two years ago when one of its sizes was named Cigar of the Year—is getting a new addition and it’s going to be big. Aptly called Grande, the thick cigar measures 6 inches long by 60 ring gauge and brings the line to six sizes.
Made solely from Nicaraguan tobacco, the cigar is produced in Nicaragua by A.J. Fernandez for Rafael Nodal, who is one of the owners of the brand. Nodal also serves as head of product capability for Altadis U.S.A., the tobacco giant that distributes Aging Room and makes a large portfolio of brands, most notably the non-Cuban versions of Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta and H. Upmann.
The Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua brand got the highest critical acclaim when the Maestro size was named blind tastings.
The new smokes come packed in 20-count boxes and have a suggested retail price of $12.50 each. They will be previewed at the Tobacco Plus Expo in Las Vegas at the end of the month and start shipping to retailers on February 1.
