Davidoff Diademas Finas Returns for Limited Run

Davidoff is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its cigar brand and has resurrected a special cigar from the past for the occasion. Earlier this year, the company debuted eye-catching 50th Anniversary bands for some of its most iconic cigars, and now the company has brought back the Davidoff Diademas Finas, a limited-edition figurado that launched in 2006 to honor the birthday of company founder Zino Davidoff. Though he ed away in 1994, the Diademas Finas commemorated what would have been Davidoff’s 100th birthday. The cigar returns to retail next month.
Measuring 6 3/4 inches by 50 ring gauge, the double-tapered Diademas Finas is enrobed in an Ecuadoran Habano cover leaf and contains a Dominican binder and a blend of Dominican filler tobaccos. According to the company, the filler contains tobaccos that are 13 years old, from a banner crop in 2005.
Diademas Finas Limited Edition wears a golden “50th Anniversary band” and a secondary band that reads “1968–2018.” The cigars ship in decorative porcelain jars, emblazoned with one of four different designs by French artist Mariane Léger. The artwork was inspired by Léger’s travels across the globe and represent The Americas, The Middle East, Europe and Asia.
Each jar contains 10 cigars and a humidification device. Diademas Finas Limited Edition cigars retail for $36 each, the 10-count jar for $360.
The cigars are rolled at the Cigars Davidoff factory in the Dominican Republic. Only 8,000 jars will be available worldwide and arrive on store shelves next month.
