Drew Estate Flying Pigs Touch Down In Cigar Shops

A new shipment of Flying Pigs—unique, stout perfectos with pigtail caps that span the Drew Estate brand portfolio—is on its way to cigar shops across the United States.
According to the company, boxes of Flying Pigs are making their way to Kentucky Fire Cured Flying Pig that will be available in a wider range of cigar shops, not just Drew Diplomat retailers.
Flying Pigs are short and fat, measuring about 3 15/16 inches by 60 ring gauge, and are difficult for cigar rollers to produce. According to Drew Estate, this year’s Flying Pigs will all ship in 12-count boxes. Last year’s run was limited to 2,500 boxes for each brand, but Drew Estate declined to say exactly how many boxes of each size are being released this time.
Prices, however, have been set. The Kentucky Fire Cured Flying Pig retails for the suggested price of $9.60, while the Sun Grown carry a price tag of $12.76. Both the Liga Privada No. 9 and T52 cost $15.09 per cigar.
Jonathan Drew, president and founder of Drew Estate, said in a press release that the company is “changing the distribution process” for future releases of this distinctive size. According to him, Drew Estate will ship Flying Pigs twice, once in the spring and once in the fall.
Like all Drew Estate handmade cigars, Flying Pigs are rolled at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Esteli, Nicaragua.
