Drew Estate Shipping Herrera Esteli 2020 TAA Exclusive

Drew Estate is bringing back a limited-edition Herrera Esteli cigar for Tobacconists Association of America for 2020 and it is shipping to retailers now.
Limited to a production-run of only 800 boxes, the Herrera Esteli 2020 TAA Exclusive comes in a single parejo size, measuring 6 inches by 52 ring gauge. The cigar is rolled with a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, Brazil Mata Fina binder and Nicaraguan fillers, whereas the core Herrera Esteli line features an Ecuador Habano wrapper, Honduran Criollo binder and Nicaraguan fillers.
Blended by originally introduced at the 2016 TAA trade show. The 2020 edition of the cigar will consist of the same blend as the previous release of the cigar, but will feature updated packaging to align more closely with the other Herrera Esteli lines, which all got a packaging redesign in 2018.
“My goal with this blend was to take the lush Connecticut broadleaf capa tobacco and apply my Miami style to the blend,” Herrera said.
By "Miami style," he's referring to the entubado or entubar method of rolling, a technique used in Cuba and in Miami at the El Titan de Bronze factory. This is a not a style that Drew Estate usually employs in its other lines, but is used for all of the Herrera Esteli cigars.
Made at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua, the Herrera Esteli 2020 TAA will be shipping in 12-count boxes priced at $147.17, or $12.26 per cigar.
The TAA, which has postponed its annual convention this year due to the Coronavirus outbreak, consists of 77 retailers and s for nearly 240 stores across the United States.
