El Rey Del Mundo Natural Coming To Stores

The venerable Honduran brand El Rey del Mundo is getting a new line this month known as El Rey del Mundo Naturals. The cigars are relatively inexpensive, with suggested retail prices ranging from $5.19 to $6.79 per cigar. The cigars have Ecuador Sumatra wrappers, Honduran binders and a Central American filler blend combining Honduran and Nicaraguan leaves. They are intended to be medium bodied.
The line has four sizes: Rectangulars is a box-pressed smoke measuring a bit longer than 5 1/2 inches, with a slimmer ring gauge of 46. It retails for $5.19. Robusto en Vidrio (5 1/2 by 50, $6.49) comes in a tube. Reserva Salado (6 by 54, $6.79) is a toro. Flor de Llaneza is a pyramid meauring 6 1/8 by 54. It has a $6.79 price tag.
The Flor de Llaneza (pronounced Yah-NAY-zuh) is named for Cigar Aficionado Llaneza was a pioneer of Honduran cigarmaking, and he was one of the owners of Villazon & Co. before it was acquired by General Cigar Co., which is now a unit of Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG).
El Rey del Mundo cigars are produced in Honduras at STG’s HATSA cigar factory.
