STG Puts Partagas Toro In A Tube

The Partagas line from Scandinavian Tobacco Group is getting a new size next week, and it’s coming in a tube. On September 23, the company plans to ship the Partagas Toro, a Dominican cigar that measures 6 inches by 49 ring gauge and comes in a glossy yellow screw-cap tube.
As part of the core non-Cuban Partagas line, the Toro consists of a Cameroon wrapper, Mexican San Andrés binder and filler from Mexico and the Dominican Republic. It’s made at the General Cigar Dominicana factory and will retail for $10.49 per cigar, or $104.90 per 10-count box.
The new tubed Toro brings the Partagas line to 11 sizes, and represents the second cigar in the line to come in a tube—the smaller Sabroso size being the first.
Partagas is distributed by Forged Cigar Co., a subsidiary of STG formed last year as part of its cigar division.
