Gold & Bullet Cigars And Accessories From The OpusX Society

Like Johnnie Walker Scotch, the Fuente Fuente OpusX series comes in red, black, blue and green labels. This weekend at the PCA trade show in New Orleans, there’s going to be an OpusX gold on display and it’s coming from The OpusX Society, an upscale cigar, accessory and lifestyle company centered around the OpusX brand. The full name of the release is The Society’s Chronicles, Episodio Uno: Gold & Bullet, and it will include new cigars, cutters and lighters.
According to The Society’s founder, Manny Iriarte, Gold & Bullet symbolizes two contrasting life philosophies—Gold stands for achieving success while Bullet serves as a reminder of life’s uncertainty and how unforeseen moments can shatter aspirations.
Gold & Bullet’s three-part collection starts with the cigars, an ornate box of 12 toro-sized Fuente Fuente OpusX smokes measuring 6 3/4 inches long by 50 ring gauge. The blend is undisclosed, but Iriarte says it’s “a bold departure” from last year’s release. Each cigar is enveloped in a gold sleeve. Only 1,500 numbered boxes are being produced for worldwide distribution.
On the accessories end, The Society is also showcasing a lighter and cutter set from Ellie Bleu. The lighter is a rendition of Elie Bleu’s J12 model, while the cutter is based on Elie Bleu’s EBC5 V-cut design. Both are branded with The OpusX Society logo and come in two finishes, gold or silver. Only 155 numbered pieces are being produced.
Suggested retail prices and exact shipping dates have yet to be announced, but based on previous releases from The Society, and the sheer rarity of these products, it’s safe to assume that they won’t be cheap.
“That’s a powerful concept,” Iriarte says of this limited-edition project. “I like the contrast between Gold and Bullet—the universal push-pull between success and struggle, light and shadow, achievement and the pressures or fears chasing us. It resonates deeply because everyone feels both sides of that at some point.”
