HVC Black Friday 2024 Edition Coming Soon
Black Friday is coming back. HVC Cigars will be releasing its annual Black Friday cigar either next week or the first week of November, and it’s made with a tobacco the company has never used before.
Called HVC Black Friday 2024 Ometepe Limited Edition, the smoke is made in Nicaragua and consists of Nicaraguan tobacco and a Mexican San Andrés wrapper. The defining tobacco, however, is a leaf from Ometepe in the filler. Ometepe (pronounced oh—meh—TEH—pay) is a volcanic island in Lake Nicaragua and a growing region for tobacco.
It’s available in one size—a toro at 5 7/8 inches by 52 ring gauge called Escogidos—and is intended to be medium in body. Made at the company’s Fabrica de Tabacos HVC S.A. factory, Black Friday will retail for $12.40 per cigar or $620 per 50-count cabinet. Only 400 cabinets are being produced.
