Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Now In Shops

Celebrating 85 years of the A.J. Fernandez for Altadis U.S.A. and are composed solely of tobacco grown on Fernandez’s farms in Nicaragua, where the cigars are also produced.
These Montecristos are softly pressed with rounded corners rather than sharp angles, and come in four sizes: Churchill, measuring 7 inches by 52 ring gauge ($17.50); No. 2, at 6 1/8 by 52 ($16.43); Toro, 6 by 54 ($15.95); and Demi, 5 1/2 by 46 ($10.40). All come in 10-count wooden boxes, save for the Demi, which comes in boxes of 20.
According to Rafael Nodal, head of product capability for Tabacalera USA (Altadis U.S.A.’s parent company), the tobaccos inside the cigars underwent an extended aging time, but he did not give any further details.
This release is distinctly different from the Dominican tobacco.
