My Favorite Cigar

Steve Harvey • Entertainer • Cohiba Siglo VI
Steve Harvey is one of the hardest-working men in entertainment, on the go nearly nonstop. You can see him on television and social media, hear him on the radio, read his words in books. About the only time he slows down is to enjoy a good smoke.
“Let me tell you what they do for me,” the 67-year-old says of cigars. “Because I got to work from the time I wake up, I gotta have little moments in the day where I’m just doing what I want to do. And a cigar is relaxing for me.”
Harvey got his start in the entertainment business doing standup in the 1980s. His best-known gig is hosting “Family Feud,” a job he has held for more than 14 years, the longest of the game show’s several emcees. He began smoking serious cigars in 1997 when his son Wynton was born, and smokes a variety of different brands. He calls Fuente Fuente OpusX his go-to, but his “all-time favorite” is a Cohiba Siglo VI.
No matter what he’s smoking, it’s all about relaxation. “Yoga,” he says, after taking a deep puff. “A cigar is yoga.”
