New Striped Smoke From Asylum
Asylum Cigars is releasing additional sizes to its green-striped cigar blend just in time for St. Patrick's Day.
Asylum Ogre, a barber-pole style cigar made with candela leaf that made its debut last year, will now appear in four formats in time for the green-themed holiday.
The original Ogre is a 7 inch by 70 ring gauge Nicaraguan puro that features two types of wrapper leaves, a dark Corojo leaf and a green candela wrapped in a style known as a barber pole. The huge concoction retailed for $8 and was a limited release for St. Patrick's Day.

Company founders Tom Lazuka and Christian Eiroa decided to use the same intertwined wrapper format and have added three sizes to the blend: 5 by 50, 6 by 60 and 6 by 80.
Prices for the new shapes will be between $6.30 and $10.20. Each cigar comes finished with a bit of tissue paper wrapping the foot and ships in boxes of 30.
