New World Connecticut Getting a Gordo

Fans of thick cigars and the New World Connecticut line by A.J. Fernandez will have something to look forward to this summer. In August, A.J. Fernandez is launching the New World Connecticut Gordo, a 6 inch by 60 ring gauge cigar that will have a suggested retail price of $8.
Packaged in 10-count boxes, the new Gordo brings the New World Connecticut line up to five sizes.
The brand debuted in 2015 and consists of a shade-grown wrapper grown in Connecticut, Mexican binder and filler from Nicaragua and Brazil. The cigars are made in Nicaragua at the A.J. Fernandez factory.
Of the four different New World blends—Connecticut, Oscuro, Cameroon and Puro Especial—the Connecticut line was the only one without a Gordo. After August, New World Connecticut will more be consistent with the rest of the portfolio.
