Plasencia Adds New Box-Pressed Size to Alma del Campo Line

The Plasencia Alma del Campo line is getting its first new size since the brand was introduced in 2017, and it’s a box-pressed version of an already existing vitola.
Shipping to retailers now, the new Travesía Box Press is simply a box-pressed iteration of the original Travesía, which is a traditional, round Alma del Campo portfolio. Both measure 6 1/2 inches by 54 ring gauge.
According to the company, this new, box-pressed smoke was driven by consumer demand and is slated to retail for $17 per cigar. It’s composed of the same blend as the rest of the Plasencia Alma del Campo series: all-Nicaraguan Criollo ’98 tobacco of various ages.
If you liked the original Travesía, not to worry—Plasencia is making them both, bringing the line to six sizes.
Made in Nicaragua at Plasencia Cigars S.A., the Plasencia Alma del Campo is part of the Alma series, which also includes the Alma del Fuego brands.
The cigars are packaged in 10-count boxes and expected to reach retailers by next week.
