Quesada Celebrates 15 Years Of Casa Magna With Limited-Edition Smoke

For the last 15 years, the PCA trade show this July in Las Vegas. The Casa Magna XV Anniversary will be available in one size, 6 inches long by 54 ring gauge, and is intended to be a slightly stronger version of the already bold Casa Magna Colorado blend.
Introduced in 2008, the Casa Magna Colorado brand quickly saw success with the Robusto earning Cigar Aficionado’s named No. 20.
The new blend will feature the same filler and binder (which is all Nicaraguan) but with a slight variation to the wrapper, using a Habano 2000 leaf grown in Ecuador.
“Raquel and I started working on this project with the factory team last summer. We knew since day one what we wanted but it took us a while to figure it out,” said Manolo Quesada of Quesada Cigars.
“We were looking for specific flavors, something richer and with a more complex taste but in the same Casa Magna blending style,” added Quesada's daughter, Raquel.
The Casa Magna XV Anniversary will be available in boxes of 15, with a suggested retail price of $225 per box, or $15 per cigar. Allocation for pre-orders for the U.S. market will begin next week. Retailers can expect them to begin shipping in August. Out of the 3,500 boxes produced, 500 are designated for the European market to be distributed by Longfiller Company in the Netherlands.
Though previously made in Nicaragua by the Plasencia family, Casa Magna is now produced in-house at Quesada’s Tabacos de Exportación Inc. (TABADEX) factory in the Dominican Republic.
