Room101’s Gigantic The Big Payback 70s Maduro Returns

Retailers will need to make some room in their humidors. The Room101 Big Payback 70s Maduro started shipping on the first day of August and the cigars measure a jaw-dropping 7 inches by 70 ring gauge.
The 70s is an extension of Room101’s The Big Payback brand. The enormous, 70-ring-gauge cigars went out of production in 2016 shortly before Room101 founder Matt Booth brought back the 70s last year, tweaking the blend to incorporate a Honduran cover leaf.
Now, the cartoonishly mammoth cigar is available again in a maduro version. It’s made with a dark Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and filler from Honduras and the Dominican Republic.
The cigars come packaged in 30-count boxes and retail for $8.99 each. This brings Room101 The Big Payback Maduro up to five sizes, ing the Gordo, Robusto, Toro and Papi Chulo.
Like The Big Payback 70s released last year, the new Maduro is produced at the HATSA factory in Danlí, Honduras, by Scandinavian Tobacco Group. Booth ed STG after selling his brands and currently serves as creative director for the company. All Room101 cigars are distributed by STG’s subsidiary Forged Cigar Co.
