San Cristobal de la Habana Prado To Launch Globally

The San Cristobal de la Habana Prado, a petit pirámide of 5 inches by 50 ring gauge, will get its global debut at a party in Sofia, Bulgaria. The October 4 event is the unveiling for the cigar that was announced at the Festival del Habano in February.
The Prado, which will be sold in 10-count boxes, is an exclusive selection for Casas del Habano outlets and Habanos Specialists. There are approximately 144 Casas, and each year Habanos S.A. produces cigars that are made especially for those shops.
The Habanos Specialists is a project begun in 2011 and designates cigar retailers who don’t have to meet the stringent space requirements of a La Casa del Habano; as of February, there were 930 Habanos Specialists around the world.
San Cristobal de la Habana is a relatively new brand in the Cuban cigar portfolio and only dates back to 1999.
The Hoyo de Monterrey Escogido, a parejo measuring 7 inches long by 49 ring, was also announced at the Festival as a Casa del Habano exclusive. But to date, it has not appeared in the marketplace.
