The 2021 Top 25 Reveal Schedule

After smoking hundreds of cigars through our Click here to follow along with the Top 25 Cigars of 2021.

The veteran tasting smokes cigars from a vast assortment of brands in different sizes, shapes and strengths from all over the world throughout the year. Then a list of top-scoring cigars are created for a test of champions, to see which cigars are the best of the best, worthy of inclusion in the Top 25. In order to keep the tasting completely objective, the band (or bands) of each cigar are removed by the tasting coordinator and replaced with a code before being given to the for assessment. Twenty-five of these cigars stood out from the rest as this year’s best.

The prestigious list will be revealed during the second week of January. Which cigars will make the cut, and which cigar will be crowned the king? Find out soon.

The reveal schedule for the Top 25 list is as follows:

Monday, January 10: Cigars 10, 9 and 8
Tuesday, January 11: Cigars 7, 6 and 5
Wednesday, January 12: Cigars 4, 3 and 2
Thursday, January 13: The 2021 Cigar of the Year
Friday, January 14: Cigars 11 through 25

The 2020 Cigar of the Year came out of the Dominican Republic from veteran cigarmaker Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, whose E.P. Carrillo Pledge Prequel astounded the with 98 points. Have a look at all of the Cigars of the Year from years past and try to guess what comes next.
