Villiger Adds Toro Size to La Flor de Ynclan

When Villiger launched its La Flor de Ynclan brand in 2017, it came in three classic sizes, but was missing a very popular format: the toro. Now, it has one.
Expected to hit retail shops by next week, the new Toro measures 6 inches by 52 ring gauge with a suggested retail price of $13. It comes packaged in 10-count boxes and is made at the ABAM Cigars factory in the Dominican Republic.
“The Villiger La Flor de Ynclan seems to be a blend that we keep going back to,” said Heinrich Villiger, chairman and owner of Swiss company Villiger Söhne AG, in a release. “We expect the [Toro] to be an upgrade from the already highly rated Robusto.”
The Robusto size captured the No. 10 spot on Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 list for 2017.
The addition of the new cigar brings La Flor de Ynclan to five sizes (the Lancero was launched last year). Like the rest of the line, the Toro is made with an Ecuadoran wrapper, Indonesian binder and filler tobacco from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
