A Stunning Anniversary Set From Pacific Cigar Co.
French woodworking, Cuban cigar craftsmanship and Swiss watchmaking all come together in a stunning set from Pacific Cigar Co. Ltd. The Hong Kong-based Habanos distributor and French company Elie Bleu have collaborated to create a line of humidors loaded with 31 Siglo Accessory and a matching timepiece from Cuervo y Sobrinos.
These limited-edition sets continue the 30-year anniversary celebration of Pacific Cigar Co., the regional Habanos distributor for the Asia-Pacific territory. Earlier this year, Pacific Cigar released the Diplomaticos PCC 30th, a Regional Edition smoke that measures 5 1/2 inches by 56 ring gauge. If you didn’t get the chance to purchase a box, this humidor comes with 31 of these cigars. “Thirty years, plus one to smoke,” Pacific Cigar tells Cigar Aficionado. The extra cigar is positioned on the top tray, which holds the watch and the other accessories.
Made in by Elie Bleu, the humidors come in four colors, each with matching accessories. According to Pacific Cigar, only 30 of each color are being produced for a total of 120 humidors. Each box is branded with Diplomaticos and Pacific Cigar Co. logos, as well as a tiger. (PCC turned 30 in 2022, which was the Year of the Tiger according to the Chinese zodiac.)
Watch lovers and horology fans will appreciate the Cuban heritage of the Cuervo y Sobrinos brand, which began in Havana in 1882. Today, the brand is headquartered in Switzerland but still pays homage to its Cuban roots. These sets come with the Historiador Asturias model. Like the humidors, the watches are co-branded with a Pacific Cigar Co. logo.
These anniversary humidor sets have a suggested retail price of HK$230,000 each, or about $29,432. Pacific Cigar says that a few are available for purchase now, and the rest can be on pre-ordered until they come in.
This wouldn’t be the first collaboration between Elie Bleu and a Cuban cigar distributor. Montecristo humidor set that included cigars and a watch.
