Montecristo B.R.M. Humidor Holds Unique Cigars and Custom Timepiece

If you happen to make it to steak night at the Casa de Montecristo in Houston next week, you’ll be one of the first to see the new Montecristo B.R.M. Humidor. It’s a striking, limited-edition package that includes a glossy, Montecristo branded humidor, 40 Montecristo B.R.M. Edition Toros and a custom timepiece by French watchmaker Bernard Richards Manufacture (B.R.M.).
The Montecristo B.R.M. Edition Toros measure 6 inches by 52 ring gauge and are made by the Plasencias in Nicaragua. The all-Nicaraguan blend consists of a wrapper from Jalapa, a binder from Ometepe and filler from Condega and Estelí.
The Montecristo B.R.M. watch features a 44 mm stainless steel case; Swiss-made ETA automatic movement modified in-house at the company workshop in ; skeleton dial; sapphire crystal on the front and back; custom leather racing strap; and water resistance to 100 meters.
A particularly unique feature is the automatic watchwinder embedded within the humidor. While the watch itself has a retail value of $9,000, the cigars and humidor are valued at $2,000, giving the entire package a suggested retail price of $11,000. Only 32 of these timepiece-humidor packages are being released. The watch and humidor are not sold separately.
Although the humidor is making a guest appearance at the Montecristo steak night charity dinner on May 12, it won’t be for sale. Brand owner and distributor Altadis U.S.A. is taking first orders for the Montecristo B.R.M. Humidor at the Tobacco Plus Expo trade show in Las Vegas and will begin shipping the package on May 17.
