E.P. Carrillo Begins Shipping Endure

E.P. Carrillo has begun shipping Endure, the first cigar from the company to be made with Cameroon wrapper in decades. For now, the cigar is available in only two sizes: Robusto and Toro.
The Robusto measures 5 inches by 50 ring gauge, and has a suggested retail price of $18. The Toro is 6 by 52, and sells for $20. (A third size, Corona Gordo, will be added later.) Both cigars have a gentle press, and have three bands, plus a parchment-like wrapping that covers the bottom two-thirds of the cigar. Each will come in boxes of 10.
The footband on each cigar s the wrapper: Meerapfel Cameroon. The leaf is grown by the Meerapfel family, which saved Cameroon tobacco from extinction.
Endure is rolled at Ernesto Perez-Carrillo’s Casa Carrillo factory in the Dominican Republic, and aside from the wrapper the blend is entirely Nicaraguan.
As part of the launch, E.P. Carrillo has created a contest for cigar smokers: 25 boxes from the first shipment have cigar bands that are signed on the back. If you find one of the signed bands, you can win Endure cigar accessories. To claim a prize, you need to bring the band to the cigar shop where you made your purchase.
