HVC Hot Cake Fresh Out the Oven Broadleaf Gets New Size

HVC Cigars is expanding its culinary-themed Hot Cake Fresh Out of the Oven Broadleaf line with a shorter, snackable size called Half Corona, and it’s shipping to retailers tomorrow.
“With this new addition, we wanted to offer an option that reflects the richness of the Hot Cake line in a convenient size, without compromising flavor or complexity,” says brand owner Reinier Lorenzo.
Measuring a diminutive 3 1/2 inches by 44 ring gauge, the Half Corona is made at the company’s Fabrica de Tabacos HVC S.A. factory in Nicaragua. The defining tobacco is its broadleaf wrapper grown in the Connecticut River Valley. The rest of the blend is Nicaraguan, consisting of a binder grown in Jalapa and fillers from Estelí and Jalapa.
The Half Coronas come in boxes of 25, with a suggested retail price of $5.60 per cigar.
Released annually in small amounts, the Half Corona is limited to just 300 boxes and brings the 2025 edition of Hot Cake Fresh Out the Oven Broadleaf to three sizes.
