Powerful Warped Sarto Pays Tribute To Owner’s Departed Dog

The relationship between dogs and their owners has been memorialized in art and literature for hundreds if not thousands of years. This November, Warped Cigars is making its sentimental epitaph to man’s best friend with Sarto, a new line created in memory of the brand owner’s late Cane Corso. To honor the powerful bond they once had, it will also be the strongest cigar Warped has ever produced.
“Dogs are a very big part of my family,” says Kyle Gellis, the owner of Warped Cigars. “I wanted to pay homage to Sarto who had a very special place not only in my family’s heart but also the entire team at Warped in the office. Sarto suffered from idiopathic epilepsy which meant he needed an extreme amount of daily oversight, so he would come to the office with me every day. He was loved by the entire team at Warped HQ who got to see and spend time with him daily throughout his life.”
Sarto is made in three sizes: Double Corona, measuring 7 inches by 54 ring gauge ($16); Toro, at 6 by 52 ($15); and a 5-by-50 Robusto ($14). The brand comes in 14-count boxes and is made in Nicaragua at the NACSA factory, which is a first for Warped.
The blend is intended to be full in body, made from a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, Nicaraguan binder from Estelí and Nicaraguan fillers from Estelí, Jalapa and Ometpe.
