VegaFina Year Of The Dragon Coming Soon

The Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year, has become a popular theme in the cigar world. Many cigarmakers are Las Vegas through Friday.
The VegaFina Year of the Dragon measures 6 3/4 inches long by 54 ring gauge. The toro-sized cigar consists of an Ecuadoran wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and filler tobacco from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. It’s made at Tabacalera de Garcia in the Dominican Republic and the cigars are intended to be medium-bodied.
This is not the first time we’ve seen a VegaFina with a Lunar New Year motif. The initial releases were only made for international markets, but in the last two years, a few boxes have been set aside for U.S. allocation. This year, Altadis is producing 6,888 boxes, and 500 have been designated for the United States–considerably less than 2023’s stateside allocation of 1,500 boxes for Year of the Rabbit.
The VegaFina Year of the Dragon will be available for pre-order starting today and will ship in late February with a suggested retail price of $240 per 16-count box, or $15 per cigar.
