Alec Bradley Releases Art Series Mega Burner Lighter Collection

When Alec Bradley Cigars launched the Mega Burner tabletop lighter last year, the company said it would be adding limited-edition versions of the lighter covered in artwork in the future. Well the future is here, and we have our first look at the new Mega Burner art series that came to stores this past fall.
The limited-edition Mega Burners artist collection is a series of three lighters featuring distinct artwork by Ralf Schuetz, a digital artist based in Colorado. Schuetz’s vibrant graphical collage works have been used for album covers and fashion.
While the outside of the Mega Burner has been enhanced, the inner workings of the lighter remain the same durable design as the Mega Burner we gave a positive review to last year.
Alan Rubin, founder of Alec Bradley, says he came up with the names for each of the lighters in the series and sent those to Schuetz. Then he stepped back to let the artist do what he does best: create.
“The size of the Mega Burner tank offers a unique opportunity to allow creativity to run wild,” Rubin said. “Having commissioned projects with Ralf before, I knew that his visionary style and use of color could help me achieve my goal of presenting distinctive pieces with collector’s appeal.”
Schuetz created three graphics to match the names of the lighters, which are: Pin-Up Series, Bomb Girl; Steampunk Series, Octobot; and Classic Ink Series, Tatsu.
According to Alec Bradley, only 500 of each lighter has been produced. Due to begin shipping to stores in October, the artist series Mega Burners will carry a retail price of $150 apiece.
